The Chorus Foundation was created to address the challenges inherent to the resource consumption and waste generation habits of the average citizen of the United States. It is our belief that these habits are unsustainable and will have widespread negative effects, global climate change being the most urgent and potentially catastrophic. We also believe that any successful response to these challenges will depend on the engagement of regular people on a large scale. In pursuit of this vision, the Chorus supports projects and organizations in New England and elsewhere in the United States that:
• provide information or programs that help individual or institutional consumers to make the best choices to reduce their environmental footprints, with a particular interest in energy efficiency;
• accelerate the adoption of truly clean energy, such as by opposing coal-fired power or exposing the inherent risks of a "nuclear renaissance";
• build and support a robust environmental movement that creates bottom-up demand for real climate change solutions; and
• communicate the science behind climate change and dispel the misinformation that surrounds it.
We are currently not accepting unsolicited grant requests.
